Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comedic perspective before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. When she was in high school, she concentrated on journalism and woman's studies. She studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. The focus changed towards music after she completed her degree. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014.
